Carnegie Corporation of New York Supports Group to Register Dominican-American Political Power

Dominican Americans are the largest immigrant group in New York, with a population of more than 673,000, according to the 2014 American Community Survey. That includes both foreign-born and native-born residents.

The non-profit group Dominicanos USA got initial funding from the Vicini family, wealthy Dominican sugar tycoons.
