Airbnb Touts A 'Pivot,' But Its Fate In New York City Remains Uncertain
In some cities, Airbnb is making a dramatic about-face in a belated effort to work with regulators rather than against them and, presumably, bolster its $30 billion valuation.
In London and Amsterdam, Airbnb agreed to impose limits on how often hosts rent out entire homes on the platform. In New Orleans, it agreed to share substantive data with the city and require hosts get permits. It also agreed to leave the French Quarter to the hotel industry almost entirely...
