On Agenda For New Ms. Foundation Head: Diversity and Safeguarding Reproductive Rights
Among the goals Teresa Younger has set for herself as the new chief executive of the Ms. Foundation for Women is to "diversify our grant making and what philanthropy looks like."
She also tells the Chronicle Of Philanthropy that safeguarding reproductive rights will be high on her agenda, especially in the wake of two Supreme Court rulings last month.
In one, the court ruled that family-run and other closely held companies, like Hobby Lobby, cannot be required to pay for contraceptives for their employees. In another case, the court said that Massachusetts was wrong to require buffer zones to keep protesters at a distance from abortion clinics....
