Three nonprofits have been selected as the winners of the New York Community Trust-New York Magazine Nonprofit Excellence Awards, a joint project of The New York Community Trust, the Nonprofit Coordinating Committee of New York and Philanthropy New York (and sponsored by New York Magazine and WNYC) to honor outstanding management practices and encourage innovation and communication among New York's large and diverse nonprofit community.
The Children's Village, which works in partnership with families to help society's most vulnerable children so that they become educationally proficient, economically productive and socially responsible members of their communities, received the $30,000 Gold Prize for Overall Management Excellence. CSH was awarded the $20,000 Silver Prize and BronxWorks won the $10,000 Bronze Prize. All three winning organizations also received scholarships for the Programs in Social Enterprise in Executive Education at Columbia Business School. Learn more about the winning nonprofits.
