Our flagship Watson Fellowship programs work with 53 colleges and universities to select and support fellows on a global scale to expand their personal, professional and cultural frontiers. Our Watson Futures program is a research and development incubator for education innovation, supporting new leadership programs and projects.
Watson’s technology systems, operations, and facilities are woven together to smoothly propel these programs. The Operations Coordinator will play a central role in running and growing them. The ideal candidate is proactive and detail-oriented, with strong organizational and technical skills, eager to grow and support an international, mission-driven organization
Responsibilities
Stakeholder Support & Systems Management
- Learn and manage Watson’s Salesforce CRM and internal systems to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Provide timely responses to fellows, advisors, and partners (within 24 hours).
- Support applications, email campaigns, event registrations, and databases.
- Assist applicants, fellows, and institutional partners with email and system inquiries.
- Partner with Watson Futures organizations to support technology platforms, including Slack Enterprise Grid, generative AI tools, and emerging systems that strengthen student and program engagement.
- Assist with management of social and digital communities: website, social media, Wikipedia page, and Google Business
Office Administration & Event Support
- Serve as primary liaison with Woolworth Building management.
- Oversee office operations, including mail, copier, phones, supplies, snacks, plants, and workspace upgrades.
- Coordinate with vendors, maintenance, and security on facility needs.
- Maintain office design: (gallery wall, Watson Wares, Watson Wall)
- Provide logistical and technical support for meetings, board gatherings, and special programs.
- Greet visitors and represent Watson as an on-site ambassador.
- Collaborate with program leaders to keep event materials and storage organized.
- Oversee health and safety protocols within the office.
- Assist the Executive Director with scheduling tasks, such as meeting planning and calendar management.
Working Conditions
- This is a New York City metropolitan area-based position.
- Occasional evening and weekend work required (e.g. monitoring support inquiries).
- Occasional travel to college campuses, internship partners, and program-related events.
- Hybrid, in-person, and remote working conditions

Experience
- 1+ years of experience working in higher education administration
- 1+ years of experience working with CRM, CMS and related operations systems
- Salesforce administration experience preferred
- 1+ years of experience working with diverse stakeholders including students, institutional partners and service providers

Compensation
$55,000-$65,000/year plus excellent health, retirement, and professional development opportunities.
