Javon Robinson

Javon began her career in public service by joining NYC Service’s Civic Corps, a local branch of AmeriCorps whose mission is building volunteer capacity within the five boroughs. During her term of service, she was assigned to New York Cares as the Financial Literacy Associate. Her main responsibilities were managing daily volunteer programs and planning & facilitating events for corporate volunteers. In this role, she was able to increase the math and financial knowledge of over 300 public school students.

Upon completion of service, she furthered her experience in the non-profit sector by joining the Center for Family Representation. As the Development & Communications Associate, she worked closely with executive leadership on the logistics of cultivation/fundraising events and assisted the Junior Board with their annual fundraising event.

Javon is a recent graduate of NYU Wagner Graduate School of Public Service where she received her Master’s in Public Administration with a concertation in Public/Nonprofit Management & Policy. She hopes to use her degree to empower communities of color in breaking the cycle of generational poverty.
