The International Grantmakers Network (IGN) invites all funders with interest in international grantmaking to an informal virtual coffee hour to connect and/or reconnect with our network peers on a number of areas that may be top of mind in our ecosystem right now. Join us for an hour of choose-your-own-adventure breakouts to get to know network members, exchange questions and learnings on these and other issues that we invite you to bring to the session:

  • Capacity building across borders
  • The evolving roles of intermediaries
  • Addressing global challenges through multilateral approaches
  • Ways to increase collaboration across regions and/or focus areas
  • Trust-based philanthropy in the context of Equivalency Determination or Expenditure Responsibility requirements
  • 2023 planning and more...

If you have any topics you would like to be included in the agenda, please send them to Jelena Kostadinovic before the meeting.

During our coffee hour, we will come up with the final topics together, vote on the ones that are most interesting or pressing to the group, then breakout into juicy conversations.

Who should attend?

All interested funders in grantmaking roles. What to expect: identification and voting of topics, followed by roundtable and/or breakout discussions.

What else should you know?

The IGN is a Philanthropy New York professional peer network, designed for the purpose of enhancing the effectiveness of grantmakers working internationally. The network aims to:

  • Foster and improve communication among funders active in or considering international grantmaking;
  • Support and enhance the dissemination of funding best practices;
  • Provide professional enrichment to funders; and
  • Create opportunities for international funders to build relationships with colleagues in the sector.
