General operating support is regarded by its proponents as a necessary means to build and support the independent sector; and is regarded by its critics as lacking in strategic rigor and accountability.

Please join us for a discussion among three funders who have a practice of making general operating support grants as they consider issues of support, strategy and accountability in the fields of community organizing, community development, advocacy, the environment, and the arts.
