The John P. & Anne Welsh McNulty Foundation seeks an intern to support the coordination and implementation of programs and special events, outreach and communications.

As an intern, you will play a critical role by supporting both immediate and long-term projects, reporting directly to the Senior Program Manager. This is a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience in a fast-paced environment dedicated to social change, gain exposure to the philanthropic sector, and contribute to an organization going through a period of growth and expansion.

Program Support 

  • support the execution of key programs including the McNulty Prize, from systems management, to research for grantees, and other special projects;

  • support systems management to streamline best practices;

  • manage contact lists and other documentation that tracks grantees and stakeholders;

  • provide general administrative and operational support.

Special Events

  • support the coordination, planning and smooth implementation of special events, including managing logistics, panel conversations, workshops, seminars or receptions, and serve as on-site support;

  • assist with logistics and vendor management, track contacts and relevant data, and conduct research and outreach to attendees and stakeholders.

Communications

  • Support the creation and publishing of newsletters, blog posts, social media and regularly updating the website;

  • assist in preparations for major news announcements, coordination with partners, development of press release and social media campaigns;

  • monitor and compile press coverage, share key news items with staff, research new and relevant social sector outlets and contacts, and maintain media distribution lists;
