Women make up only 25% of Congress.

States have enacted 424 reproductive rights restrictions from 2010 to 2018.

Hispanic women will have to wait until 2224 and Black women will wait until 2130 for equal pay. On average, female full-time, year-round workers made only 82 cents for every dollar paid to men, a difference of 18 percent. Across race, there is a gender wage gap in 97% of occupations.

Black transgender people lived in extreme poverty with 34 percent reporting a household income of less than $10,000 per year. This is more than twice the rate for transgender people of all races (15 percent), four times the general Black population rate (9 percent), and eight times the general U.S. population rate (4 percent).

How is it that despite historic gains, we continue to witness the intersection of gender, race, sexuality and ability as significant barriers to economic, socio-cultural and political power?

Persistent structural racism and gender discrimination is a complex issue. Learn how racism and sexism is built into all of the issues we fund. Explore how your grant making framework and strategy can benefit from a new lens on the work in this thought provoking panel of researchers and activists who are all working on systems change designed to bring about greater equity.

Explore
