Our blog is a forum for members to discuss issues affecting the sector and the practice of philanthropy.Philanthropy New York programs are open only to members and other funders unless noted otherwise in the program description.
As a member benefit, we adhere to a policy of free programming for members, apart from special expenses such as technological support for teleconferences.
However, some collaborative programs require a fee to attend. Such fees are required by the co-presenting organization/s and we derive no income from them. We do, whenever possible, arrange for a discounted rate for our members.
Philanthropy New York seeks to create a community of shared inquiry characterized by mutual respect and trust.
While our programming is meant to encourage a free and open exchange of ideas, the opinions expressed are not necessarily those of Philanthropy New York.
Also in keeping with a mutually respectful environment, we ask all program participants to refrain from soliciting funds or business at our meetings.
